About Which Beach Today

We are a family that lives on Aruba and spends a lot of time on the water. We are always looking for a beautiful beach, and we kept missing one thing: something that simply tells you which beach is good today, and what there is to do there. The travel guides tell you which beaches are pretty. They do not tell you that the wind has turned, that one coast is choppy this afternoon, or that the cruise ships fill the beaches near town.

So we made Which Beach Today. Every day it reads the wind and wave forecasts, works out what they do to the water at each beach, estimates the crowds, and puts the tours and places to stay nearby next to it. It started with Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, and now covers beaches in ten more regions.

Who makes it

Kalle Coster. Dutch, a professional sailor for many years (three Olympic Games in the 470 class) and now a skipper who builds apps: he makes LYFE Offshore, an app that watches the boat and the anchor for cruising sailors. He lives on Aruba with his family.
